James David "Bo" McDaniel was born February 6, 1926, in Howland, and died August 16, 2009.
After graduating high school, he joined the Navy in June of 1944 and served in World War II on the aircraft carrier Commencement Bay. He was honorably discharged in June 1946. He worked for the Texas Midland Railroad, Southern Pacific Railroad and retired from Texas Department of Transportation.
David will be remembered as a loving, caring individual as well as an avid artist, historian and railroad memorabilia collector. The pictures below contain a few of the items donated by David, and his family to the Cotton Belt Depot Museum.
